Heading in the right direction with confidence

Little complexity - a lot of effect. Following this premise, InnoForst develops tools for practical everyday forest management.

Especially for stands with an elevated risk it is crucial that the actual situation is recorded quickly, inexpensively and traceably at any time - so that goals and measures can be derived in good time. This does not always require large projects. Good decisions are possible with clear workflows and in a short time.

As a small Christmas present we are putting a little helper under the tree for you:

InnoTool - angle count sampling (WZP)

A smart workflow that simplifies decisions

Step 1: record the actual situation - inexpensive, traceable, standardised

Take a panorama photo (360°) at the sampling point and upload it to the tool. On your PC you mark the "IN" trees according to the Bitterlich method. The results (including basal area and species shares) can be used directly.

If you add a mean tree height for each sampling point, you additionally receive a growing stock estimate (m³/ha) - per point and as an aggregated value across several points.

Step 2: clarify the goal - where should the stand go?

With a robust starting position the direction becomes concrete, e.g.: increase stability, reduce risk, secure/increase returns, develop structure and species mixture, prepare regeneration, prioritise interventions.

Step 3: derive measures - do the right thing properly

Actionable steps emerge from the actual situation and the goal. By steering the basal area you bring stands purposefully into a more robust, productive starting position.

Step 4: measure again - make the effect visible

Effect comes from repetition: measure - implement - check - readjust. With the tool this works inexpensively and alongside your other operational work.

Support for districts and enterprises

Would you like an inexpensive assessment and analysis for the whole enterprise? We have developed workflows that allow robust operational concepts to be created on the basis of remote sensing data and local panorama samples - for small and large forest owners alike.

Goal: strengthen asset and earning power, reduce risks early and convert them into financial assets.

We look forward to your feedback.

Merry Christmas!
